Animal Forms

. This page lists all Animal Forms currently allowed in game. Minor variations on the flavor of the animal are allowed (ex: Cat to Squirrel, or Panther to Jaguar). Various animal forms offer differing benefits. Special attacks available to the form are included in the form description. Bonus is listed first, with modifier following. (B)ashing, (L)ethal, and (A)ggravated are the damage types. Additionally, remember that acting speed and health levels are determined by size and shift accordingly with the animal forms.
When you purchase an animal form, you choose a specific and unique animal form, including genders. This means that you can purchase the same animal form multiple times with different genders and appearances if you so desire. This means that while your animal form is recognizable, it can’t be easily linked back to you unless someone has seen you change or has some other method to find out who that animal is.
(If you have interest in a form that is not on this list, please contact the storytellers).

        Swarm Forms
  • Cost 1 Rarity to have the ability to purchase “Swarm of [animal]” forms
  • First swarm form is free; additional swarm forms cost 3 XP each
  • Character must possess the singular animal form prior to purchasing the “Swarm” form
    • Ex: Landon Kane already has rat form, but wants to have Swarm of Rats as an animal form. It require the Swarm Mind merit and an expenditure of 3 XP for him to have “Swarm of Rats” as an animal form.
  • Each creature in a swarm form looks very similar, if not identical. Additionally, when the swarm takes damage, the members of the swarm die and fall off.
  • A Swarm does not have a distinguishable beast. It’s nebulously spread out across the swarm. Also, if a second user of Protean 4 is hiding in the swarm, either as another swarm or an individual animal, you can tell that there are two Beasts in there (baring Obfuscate 2), but can’t distinguish between the Protean 4 users unless some uses Auspex 2 (Aura Perception) on the swarm.
  • Flying Swarm

    • -2 to rolls of others that are within five yards.

    • Can be attacked – swarm is composed of a number of birds equal to twice your health levels.
